Senior Geophysicist
Global Exploration & Production Company that has a balanced portfolio of international assets currently seek the skills of a Senior Geophysicist to join their international multi-disciplinary team based in Norway.
The successful candidate will report to the Exploration Manager and be tasked with exploration, development and production of fractured carbonate reservoirs. Well planning and follow up of drilling operations will be an important part of your responsibility. It is expected that you will be a proactive and enthusiastic team member and mentor junior geophysicists within the team.
You will be degree educated ideally to MSc or PhD level in a geophysics or related discipline and possess upwards of 10- years broad geophysical experience working on exploration projects in the Middle East, Iraq, Yemen or similar. You will have a strong working knowledge of industry standard software, such as Petrel and SMT Kingdom. Experience with fractured carbonates and compressional tectonics are also desired. You will be expected to make recommendations to senior management therefore exellent communication skills are essential.
